Why Is Preventive Care So Important?

By coming in every six months for a routine cleaning and exam, you’ll be able to keep your teeth healthy and avoid issues before they arise. During a cleaning, we will remove plaque and tartar build-up from your teeth and gums to prevent cavities and gum disease. Regular exams also help Dr. Lau track your oral health and identify any potential issues while they are small and easily treatable.

Do Root Canals Hurt?

During root canal therapy your tooth and surrounding gums will be completely numb to ensure you feel no pain during treatment. Root canal therapy is actually quite simple and straightforward, despite what you may have heard. The process is quite similar to having a tooth filled. Dr. Lau will remove the decayed enamel and infected material and fill the cavity to restore your tooth’s strength. You may feel some tenderness or soreness after a root canal, but this will quickly subside and is easily managed with over-the-counter pain medications.

Am I a Candidate for Clear Aligners?
